Meet self-proclaimed "Melanin Goddess" Khoudia Diop. This 19-year-old Senegalese model on the rise is blowing up social media with 338,000 Instagram followers and counting, as well as inspiring women from all around the world. But, before her beautifully dark skin went viral, Khoudia was bullied because of it.

According to the articles Diop gave to Daily MailΒ and The Huffington Post, she grew up being picked on and teased for her dark skin. Rather than letting the bullies attack her self-confidence, Khoudia rose above by embracing her differences. "Growing up, I faced it by confronting the bullies," she told the Daily Mail. "As I grew, I learned to love myself more every day, and not pay attention to the negative people, which helped a lot."

And love herself she does. Khoudia frequently uses hashtags #BlackGirlMagic, #MelaninPoppin, and #BlackGirlsRock on her photos to encourage other women to love their skin. Although she still receives scrutiny from people online, Khoudia continues to be an example for women everywhere. "I've learned to ignore the negative people and just be a living example of confidence and self-love," she told The Huffington Post. "I let me life, and success, speak for itself."

Melanin Goddess, we thank you! Love the skin you are in by finding your #TrueNude intimates at Nudest.Β
